Mandi Ilene Schiff

Mandi Ilene has been painted ever since she was able to pick up a brush. She started winning art awards in elementary school which led to specialized art classes in middle/high school. She began her art career painting murals, signs and repurposed furniture while raising two children. Later she started a cosmetology career specializing in nails, makeup and skincare. After doing decorative nails and bridal makeup for some years she started face painting. The princess birthday parties she started at the salon were a great start, but eventually the mobile face painting business became more profitable during a recession. She soon dove full time into her running her own face painting business from the ground up. Body painting came into play a few years later when a friend wanted her belly painted to document her pregnancy in a unique way. After that Mandi started advertising for Halloween and soon became booked with custom full body paintings. 

A few years after being in the industry Mandi noticed other areas of the world that artists would meet up together and have "jam sessions" to practice their skills. She soon founded a group in Central Florida and started hosting jams for face and body painting to level up the art in the area. She eventually brought her group of artists to the stage performing their body art skills in front of a live audience at her show, BASE Orlando. BASE stands for Body Art Showcase and Exhibit and has been in production since 2014, Mandi has hosted over 20 shows with unique themes. 

Competitions are also near and dear to Mandi's heart as she has always loved the energy created when put to the test. She has won many art awards for her 2D projects in school and then moved into face and body painting competitions later in life. Mandi loves using bright bold colors in her work and telling a story with the art placement on the body. Mandi has painted in and placed at several competitions over the years including Face and Body Art International Convention, Texas Body Painting Competition, Fantasy Fest Body Paint Contest, Cypress Cove Body Painting Contest, Living Art America, European Body Paint Festival and Glitter and Gore Body Paint Contest.
